Status Coup's "Flint Fatigue" Documentary Premieres Tomorrow!
Our doc premieres Sunday on Breaking Points YouTube channel & our "Flint Fatigue" website. Paying SC members will have access to the FULL documentary interviews & behind-the-scenes footage!
Hey folks, it’s Jordan writing to you from the passenger seat as Jon and I continue driving on our latest ON-THE-GROUND reporting trip which included reporting in East Palestine (interviews to come over next week) and Flint for the decade anniversary of the ONGOING Flint water crisis (watch below).
I’m super excited to share that our feature-length documentary, “Flint Fatigue”—which shows Flint residents are STILL living through an ACTIVE disaster—premieres tomorrow (Sunday). I was grateful to join Krystal Ball on Breaking Points to preview the documentary and why the Flint water crisis is ONGOING and crucial to cover. WATCH BELOW:
The documentary will be premiering tomorrow on:
Breaking Points YouTube channel
Paying Status Coup members—you can become one for as low as 16 cents a day— will be able to watch the FULL INTERVIEWS we shot with residents and others for the documentary as well as behind-the-scenes footage (including me accidentally hitting people in the face on Wall Street!)
Straight up, making “Flint Fatigue” cost us over $5,000 to shoot, produce, and create (paying filmmaker to produce it, paying Jon to shoot it, travel costs for reporting in Flint). MAJOR kudos to filmmaker Tommie “Ty” Bayliss—Status Coup’s original cameraman and producer—for doing an incredible job producing this documentary on a VERY short timeline (normally filmmakers would need 6 months to a year to produce this; Ty produced the film in less than a month).
As far as I can tell, we are the only independent media outlet doing this kind of important, and expensive, ON-THE-GROUND reporting—and producing unique documentaries like “Flint Fatigue”—which includes reporting I did in Flint and on Wall Street! Can you become a paying monthly Status Coup member for just 16 cents a day to support this work?
You can also DONATE any amount to help support this important ON-THE-GROUND investigative reporting:
We will be posting clips from the documentary on tomorrow on social media and YouTube. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD that folks can watch it on our Flint Fatigue website tomorrow!
Thanks as always
Jordan
