Biden Finally Visits East Palestine to "Hold Norfolk Southern Accountable"—Residents Say He's "Turned His Back On Us"
A year after the billion dollar railroad company chemically nuked the small OH town and parts of Pennsylvania, Biden/EPA are aiding a major criminal cover-up...one that will sadly lead to deaths
Hey folks, it’s Jordan.
The following reporting is based on our 5 ON-THE-GROUND reporting trips to East Palestine and Louis DeAngelis and I spending hours and hours talking to residents and sources. We’d like to stay on this corporate/government-made disaster—but need your help to do so. Repeated trips to East Palestine—and everywhere else we report—are expensive. Sadly, as time goes on, less and less media will stay on this story and continue to lift the voices of sick and struggling residents. Please support SC for as low as $5-10 bucks so we can continue to keep the corporate chemical nuking of EP in the headlines.
“We need healthcare, he needs to sign for that,” East Palestine resident Krissy Ferguson, whose been sick for a year due to her home being on top of a creek that was contaminated by the cancerous chemicals Norfolk Southern detonated over East Palestine, recently told our Louis DeAngelis about Biden’s visit. “We need help with relocation, this is why I want to speak with [Biden],” a tearful Ferguson said. “A year of people being stuck, my friends and my loved ones being exposed [to chemicals]; there is no way to make that right but you need to stop it from happening.”
“I don’t care if it’s Norfolk Southern or our government—somebody needs to take the initiative to help people get out,” she said.
“I don’t think he’s going to have a very warm welcome here in EP,” Candice DeSanzo told Louis. “If I could do anything, I’d go down there and turn my back to him just like he turned his back on this entire town…this town is forever changed, forever traumatized, and is forever ruined.”

I also spoke with residents this week about Biden’s upcoming visit.
“I don’t see where they’re doing that at all,” Christa Graves, an East Palestine resident, told me about President Biden’s claim that his administration is “holding Norfolk Southern accountable. “I haven’t seen any federal response; I know the EPA is here in a federal capacity but it’s not doing us any good.”
Candy Kiehl, who temporarily stayed with her husband at a Best Western hotel 10 miles from East Palestine after the February 2023 derailment/detonation, immediately got sick as soon as they returned to their chemically contaminated home in December. “As soon as I came back, I ended up with bronchitis for three weeks,” she told me. “[I have] headaches every day; now my husband goes tomorrow for eye surgery—his cataracts are just overwhelmingly bad.”
“We just need help,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Ashley McCollum, who has been staying with her kids at a hotel for a year following the derailment and detonation, is no longer being reimbursed by Norfolk Southern—despite her home still being so contaminated, she immediately gets sick whenever they return.
“My relocation was actually up on February 9th,” McCollum told me. “Now I’m covering the hotel stay and the food we have…I would expect that [Norfolk Southern] would help me relocate; at this point [with how much Norfolk Southern has spent on keeping us at a hotel], they would have already paid my house off and put a down payment on another house for me yet they made me stay in a hotel. So now here I am trying to figure out how to pay however long we need to stay here [at the hotel].”

Louis DeAngelis will be live around 4:30pm eastern today as Biden speaks from East Palestine.
