BREAKING: UAW Strike EXPANDS to 38 More Plants, Live from Stellantis Strike in Center Line Michigan
Tina-Desiree Berg is LIVE NOW from the Stellantis facility in Center Line, MI covering the Picket Line
UAW president Shawn Fain has announced that the UAW strike will now expand to 38 additional plants across 20 states—all parts and assembly plants for GM and Stellantis. As of now, UAW will not go on additional strikes at Ford plants after Ford tweeted its offer to include:
Reinstatement of Cost of Living Adjustments for workers (removed in 2008/09)
Conversion of temporary workers to full-time after 90 days
Ability for workers to strike over plant closures
Continued healthcare and income for 2 years for workers after indefinite plant closure
We are now on DAY 8 of our ON-THE-GROUND reporting covering the strike and would like to continue to cover this ON-THE-GROUNDS. But funds are running low and we can only stay out covering the strike if we get a significant number of viewers to sign up as paid members for $5-10 bucks a month. Can you join us to make sure there is continued coverage of this strike ON-THE-GROUND?
Our Tina-Desiree Berg IS LIVE NOW reporting from one of the NEW strike picket lines at a Stellantis parts facility in Center Line, MI—talking to workers and getting their reaction to the EXPANSION of the strike to 38 more plants.
