"WHY AREN'T WE EVACUATING?!?" Lithium Plant Fire SICKENING Residents Weeks Later
Jordan Chariton talks with a sick resident in Moss Landing California
Jordan Chariton interviewed Jody Parker, a Marina, California resident who lives between 8 and 9 miles away from the Vistra Lithium Battery Plant fire that blazed for several days beginning on January 16th. Two weeks later, residents as far as 50 miles away are having serious health issues ranging from bloody noses, headaches, burning lungs, dizziness, rashes, metallic taste in mouth, breathing problems, and lethargy. Jody herself has experienced bloody noses and crippling fatigue; she was able to leave her home for several days—and her symptoms cleared up—but as soon as she returned her symptoms came back. Parker criticized the political and media response to the crisis and insisted that residents near the plant should be evacuated by the government until proper testing of air, water, and soil is conducted.
My wife and I and our neighbors live only 5 miles from the Vistra plant and we stayed indoor the first day and seeing the the winds were negligible went about normal work outdoors the following days. No one got ill but then we do not have other maladies from bad genes or bad food or drinking alcohol.
If someone did have problems from the Vistra plant it would show up in their blood and no one has demonstrated this happening.
People are trying to get a settlement from Vistra and so are exaggeratiing their symptoms as one would expect.
